Healing

Healing Circle

I was invited to attend and participate in a healing circle this morning. While I was waiting to be invited in I recorded some of the drumming and singing the women were doing. I didnt want to be intrusive or disrespectful by videoing the participants but it the image of the freedom of the forest on the other side of the window was interesting.

We are all trying to create some freedom.

Healing is about getting rid of stuff that we don’t need and we don’t need a lot of the trash we carry around from our past.

Healing is also about getting better and the traditional approach is brilliant. There is the understanding that we need to talk about things that hurt in order to get them out into the light so that they can be made smaller.

It is when we keep things inside that they grow and gain power. Healing is also about replacing the old with the new as as we remove things that hurt we are creating room to put something new and better. As someone way smarter than me said “many of us tried to hold on to our old ideas”

Feed the good wolf.
